It would be great if I could sit here today and come up with something to write that has never been written or said before but the truth is that is impossible. What I can do is write something from my perspective and from my system of belief. That makes it original content and also unique content because there is only one person on the entire planet just like me and that of course is me. People might look similar to me or maybe could pass for me in some instances but when it comes right down to it, they are not me. I do get confused with Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise and George Clooney a lot, just kidding.
When you sit down to blog or create a video or whatever it is you do the one thing you have going for you is it is original content that works, unless you are simply cutting and pasting and trying to make something yours. You will be a lot better off and farther down the road by just putting your spin on things and realizing that there
are people that only you can connect with.
We live in a world where people want to be someone else all the time? Why is that? Is it because they think that person’s life is perfect, and they have no challenges? Understand if you are breathing and still on planet earth you have difficulties no matter who you are. There are no exceptions to that fact. We somehow think that if
we had all the money in the world, we would need that would solve all our problems, well you know what that is not true. If you did have all the money in the world you would ever need you probably would then worry about someone taking it from you. If you were married to an extremely beautiful woman or married to a very handsome man that does not come without problems as well. My point is no matter what it is that you think would make your life better, in reality, that probably is not the real answer. Maybe it is that you just need to be who you are and accepting of yourself, that does not mean you have to settle and quit growing and developing, but stop imitating. No more faking it until you make it, start where you are and grow from there. Realize you are unique and you can create unique content based on that fact alone.
The answer or at least one of them is accepting yourself, be yourself, and decide to learn, adapt and develop the part of your life that needs some development. The counterfeit no matter how good it is, is never as good as the original. There are people that want to know what you think, what you believe, what and how you do whatever
it is that you do. Share from your perspective, your vantage point, be yourself and not an imitation of someone else. Quit trying to connect with the whole world and concentrate on connecting with the people that will listen to what you say, and read what you write. It will take some time but when it happens there will be a real connection that transpires and that is what we are all looking for.
Don’t stress over coming up with something no one has ever written, make it yours with your experience, and it will be original content. Just realize not everyone is going to follow you or read what your write or view your videos.
No matter who you are that does not happen for anyone. You may be a Tom Cruise fan, but there are people that are not fans at all. You might be a Christie Brinkley fan and who isn’t, but believe it or not there are some people whose boat she does not float. Hard to imagine I know but true. So the point is be you, be original.
If you want to grow your business, your blog readers, twitter followers, facebook friends be yourself. Looking for original content and content that is unique just look inside, no one has had the same exact experiences as you, no one is you but you. Create content based on that and you will be fine.
Use the social media sites as a way to connect with people based on who you are not someone else. Last but not least realize it is a process and that means it takes time. Just stay the course and one day you will wake up and be at your destination.
