build

We have looked at steps decide and act and those are both necessary ingredients, the next one is to build. Building your business is a process but one of the first things you have to do is decide what kind of business you are going to build. There are all kinds of business opportunities but one of the keys is making sure that what you do to build can be duplicated by those that join you in your business.

One thing for sure is the abundance of opportunities, that is not a problem but let’s just lay this all out on the table. The reality is 97% of people who start will not finish, there are multiple factors for that. Two of them we have already discussed. Again they they did not make a quality decision and secondly they were not committed to action but the third one is critical as well.

Build Your Business

Building your business happens by building relationships and the best way to do that is trust. The way to build your business is by implementing different strategies.

Build Your Business Using Our System

When you have the right opportunity and the tools along with a quality decision and a commitment to action you are well on your way. Here is another very important key and that is having a system. You have probably heard it said many times but it needs repeating. You cannot duplicate people but a system can be duplicated. We have the system and this system does the heavy lifting for you. Our system will help you build, establish, increase and strengthen your business.

This is your business not another job. However it will require work. But now you get to choose with whom and when to work. Are you ready to build Your Business?

act- anything done, being done, or to be done; deed; performance: a heroic act, the process of doing.

Act On Your Decisions

You can make a great decision but without action all you have is a decision. If you believe you have made the right decision then your next step is act on it. Faith is an act, it is believing and then acting like what you have decided on is the right thing to do and here is the key even though you don’t yet have it act as though you do.

Act Instead Of Sitting And Waiting

What most people do is sit around without making a decision. For the few that do make one, a large percentage of them sit around imagining, dreaming or even fantasizing about it but never actually take action. Faith is right now, not later, now faith is and if you don’t act now the probability that you will act later is unlikely.

Act No More Procrastination

You have to act on your decision, procrastination will kill your dreams. We have all heard the saying; don’t put till tomorrow what you can do today.

Make A Decision And Act On It

Make a decision to change your life, to get out of the boat, to step out of your comfort zone. Once you decide act on it, don’t wait for everything to be perfect because the truth is it will never be perfect. Have you been presented an opportunity to change your circumstances? Your decisions are critical, a quality decision with a determined attitude with the right opportunity can change your personal and financial freedom. There are two kinds of people, those who wait for something to happen and those who make something happen. Which one are you? Are you ready to act?

Decisions We Face Everyday

We are faced with decisions everyday that need to be made. It might involve a question that needs answered, a controversy we might be facing or what to do about a struggle we are having.

Decisions Determine Destiny

Until a decision is reached there can be no forward progress and without forward progress you are basically regressing – going backwards or at the very least standing still.

Decisions Have Consequences

What most of us don’t realize until it is too late is that our decisions determine our course in life. If we make good decisions then we experience good results but if we make bad decisions we know the result.

What About The Decisions You Have Made

I don’t think personally that we think about the consequences of our decisions enough before we make them, whether good or bad. What happens way to often especially when a bad decision is made we look for someone to blame or the circumstances when in reality the buck stops with us. If you marry the wrong person you cannot blame the person you married, you made the decision. If you settle for a JOB and hate it, that is your decision.

Have Your Decisions Caused You To Settle?

Related to what our site is about so many times we just settle for what we consider to be tolerable, a certain level of safety. What I mean by that is this, we will do something that we really don’t like because it provides a level of safety, we work a job which enables us to barely pay the bills, at least until the next check arrives. We stay at a JOB because in most instances we are afraid to get out of the boat for fear of failure. It doesn’t feel safe, we would prefer to put our safety and security into the hands of someone that really does not have our best interest at heart or the best interest of our family at the top of their list.

You have to decide what you want out of life and go for it almost with careless regard. Temper that statement with common sense. Don’t settle when you know there is more.

Decisions are what determine the course of your life. The question is are you satisfied where you are? Will your JOB get you to where you want to go?

If you are in network marketing you have no doubt experienced rejection and tried to figure out how to overcome objections, or as an alternative you quit. If you read my post yesterday you saw where you have four major objections, overcoming objections is a must. People will throw up an objection even if they are interested. In some instances maybe just to check your resolve.

You can sum them up in those four main objections or something very similar. There is a second part to that post, but I want to post another solution for you today. This is a solution for every objection that you will receive in Network Marketing.

Are you the least bit curious? Well here is the one solution, and it is Own Your Channel. If you are on any of the social networking sites like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and  MySpace more than likely you have connected with people with not much of an issue if any at all. They could be family, friends, co-workers, ex-co-workers or someone that you may not even know that well, or even strangers. Why is it that you could connect so easily and why were you able to invite people to join you on these sites with no objection whatsoever?

The reason is you simply invited them to a social network, you invited them to a place that they were not threatened. You were just inviting them to a place to be able to connect with you. Now let’s be realistic and totally honest, there could have been a few people that showed a little reluctance but eventually even they came around. One of the reasons social networks are so popular is people like connecting with other people, and it is much easier to connect with people that are like-minded.

So back to the Solution of Own Your Channel which sometimes is referred to as OYC.

Own Your Channel is a social network, the tag line is; A Social Network for Like-Minded Entrepreneurs and that is exactly what it is. OYC is an entrepreneur network, a  place that you can connect with people who think outside the box, people that have achieved a level of success and people who are desirous to learn. That is great all by itself, but it does not stop there, you can actually become a paid member for only an investment of $9 a month. You may be thinking but what do I get for $9 ?  The opportunity to build a team of people who have a similar way of looking at things, you can develop relationships with people who understand opportunities. When you grasp the big picture, catch the vision you realize that OYC affords you the chance to build your team ONE More Time. However, here is the clincher, or it was for me, as my team is being built, the work is being done one time, not over and over again. You do not have to do the work repeatedly in Own Your Channel. Let me borrow a line from my business partner. Tom Aliprandi whose site is http://TomAliprandi.com. Tom states: “Own Your Channel empowers the distributor and saves tremendous amounts of capital while building an organization perhaps 10X faster than with being a distributor with any network marketing company”. It also builds inherent loyalty and provides multiple income streams through the same One Team. Well, said Tom.

You know that your degree of success is determined by the size of your team. The bigger the channel/team that you build and own the faster you can create multiple streams of revenue that can turn into raging rivers of income. OYC is or could easily become your vehicle to do just that.

How, is now the question in need of answering? The how is again OYC. What takes place in the social network of Own Your Channel?

There are companies that are referred to as portfolio companies, however not just any company becomes a portfolio company. These are companies that are required to meet stringent criteria. One way to think of the portfolio companies is to liken it to a mutual fund. In a mutual fund, your investment is diversified, you have your money spread out over a multitude of different types of companies; you are not limiting yourself by putting all your eggs in one basket. It is the same in own your channel; you have a diversified portfolio of companies that provide different types of products and services. What you are not doing is trying to handle a multitude of companies; your focus is on building a team, not promoting a service or a product. You are committed to your team; you are focused on your destination, not trying to keep all the balls in the air at the same time. As you move into a portfolio company, your team moves with you, you have just hit the ground running. What does that mean? It means that you just positioned yourself to start being paid by that company, immediately because you brought your team with you. I know by now the lights are coming on, and you are starting to get excited. Take the next step and make contact and let’s get you on our team as we build multiple rivers of revenue.

Starting a Home Based Business – Commitment Level Part III

Starting a Home Based Business in my opinion and from my experience is always the right decision. For me it is, but the question is, is it the right decision for you? No one can decide for you if it’s time to have your own home business opportunity, except you.

What I will say is with the economic climate the way it is, this could be the perfect time to get started. Experts are predicting that it will be at least 5 years before unemployment is at 5% again. Why wait? Become gainfully employed in your own home based business today.

Now back to where we left off the last time, and that is how to start a home based business. How you start is by being completely honest with yourself about your commitment level. We have covered the importance of knowing if we are committed to starting a home based business. We have also determined how important it is to know that the person who brings us into this business opportunity is committed to us having a successful home business. But does a successful home based business end there or is there more?

Well, there is more, that is if your at home business is a legitimate home based business. You also need to know if you are going to have a profitable home based business, that without question the company you are about to start your business with is committed to their distributors. This is not just about a work from home business opportunity, it is about having the best home based business for you and your family.

You have your own reasons for wanting to want to work from home but this is one more fact to consider. You can be committed and the person who brings you into the home based business industry can be committed but if the company is not committed to you and to your long term success, the rest is a mute point.

If the company is not committed to the people who are working from home to build the business, in the long run, it will not work or last. You might be thinking, well of course the company is committed, but that is not necessarily so. There could be some things that the company has been advised to correct but instead of correcting them, they continue with business as usual. The business is growing and it looks good from where you stand, until one day you wake up and realize that the company is in trouble, because they never bothered or took the time to make the necessary adjustments and it came back to haunt them. It happens all too often in the home based industry. If the company is committed to the distributors this will not happen.

If the foundation is not properly laid and the leadership of the company does not know how to take the company to the next level, it is just a matter of time until there is a collapse. It is not how you start, although that is important but it is how you proceed and how you finish. Everything can seem to be in place and going great but believe me if the foundation is cracked, and the owners or founders of the company have skipped a step or two it is just a matter of time. Something will happen to expose the crack in the foundation. If the leadership does not look at the big picture, there will be problems. What is the big picture? It is realizing that they need to pay the distributors all they can and not nickel and dime them over things. They realize that taking care of the people actually building the business is crucial. The company takes care of the distributors and the distributors in turn take care of the company. It is a two-way street, but with many companies it is a one way street.

So as I try to close this post here is the important take aways:
1. You have to know you are committed to your home based business long term.
2. You must know that the person bringing you into the home based business is committed to you and the company.
3. Last you have to know that the company is as committed to your success, as you are to building your work from home business.

If you have all of this in place and your network marketing strategy, you are on your way to building a successful home based business. One that will produce a residual income, and over time will allow you to have the time and financial freedom we all dream of.

Starting a Home Based Business but what is the commitment level of the person wanting to sponsor you?

This is an important network marketing tip, that is if you want to implement a success strategy, if so pay close attention.

As we have already mentioned, you have to determine your level of commitment, but you need to figure out real quick how committed the person you are considering signing up under is as well. Are they committed to you? Are they committed to the business opportunity? Are they a sponsor or a recruiter? There is a definite difference and you need to know what the difference is. We will leave that for now for a later time, so let’s move on.

So you might be thinking wait, I am ready to get started and the sooner the better. That is a good attitude but just maybe this will spare you some challenges, or quite possibly help you avoid crashing and burning. Here is the second question, how committed is the person wanting to sponsor you to the business? The rest of that question or part B is, how committed to you are they? You need to determine their commitment level as well as yours. These are some really important things to consider before you sign up with him or her. You may say, but I have known this person for years, they are a personal friend, or a colleague from work. There is not anything wrong in signing up with a friend or a colleague but you need to determine this before you do. This is going to be critical to your success.

You need to absolutely find out what their commitment is to the company they are sharing with you. If they are not committed, and I mean hardcore committed, then you want to find someone else to sponsor you, if that is the company you want to join. Here is the reason why; if they are not fully committed to the company, when the company hits some bumps in the road and all companies do, they might just bail on you and the company. You say they would never do that, they love the company, and you might be right but the question is, are they going to love it during the bumps, or are they going to run for the hills and be looking for a new opportunity? I can tell you from first hand experience, most people will run off when the bumpy road starts, to the next greatest opportunity since sliced bread, they may tell you and others they are only diversifying and protecting their interests but the truth is they are bailing. I have lived through that and know it happens more times than not.

If you have found the company you want to hook your wagon to, then you have to know you are committed and the person you sign up with is committed not only to the company but to you as well. If they are not then my recommendation is to find someone that is committed to the company and will be committed to help you build your business. Someone that will stay the course and see it through until you become successful. Network Marketing today is fantastic but there are lots of people who think it is the place to earn quick money and the truth is that might be possible but it really is for the long haul. It is a real business and it takes time to build a business. It is an industry that attracts people who in many instances give the industry a black eye. There are a lot of recruiters but very few that really understand mlm sponsoring.

If you are considering starting a home based business, there are two questions that you absolutely must answer. The number one question to me that you have to answer first and foremost is, what is your commitment level? Some might disagree and think that the question to ask is, is now the best time to start a home based business? My response to that is, anytime is the best time to start a home based business if you are committed to it. There is never a perfect time to start a business, there are always obstacles, naysayers, and just situations beyond one’s control. That is just a fact of life, but if you are committed the obstacles, naysayers cannot stop you from being successful. Only you can stop yourself from getting there.

If you have a home based business or are considering starting one, I commend you for stepping out of the proverbial box. Now is the best time to start a home based business where you work from home. One of the reasons for that is in this economy more people are open to looking at alternative ways of making extra money. So if that is you, congratulations! If you already have one I am sure you can agree with what I am about to write, and if you are just now considering becoming part of one read this first.

Before you start, you need to sit down with your husband or wife and determine your level of commitment to this new venture you are about to embark upon. Ask yourself, are you totally committed to what you are about to start? It is not the mindset of I will try to to see if this works, that will make it happen but I am committed to make it work. A word of advice if you are not committed 110% don’t waste your time or money.

It would be very wise to ask this question and find out the answer, but a lot of people do not give the amount of thought to this that it deserves. If you are positioning yourself to become part of the Network Marketing Industry and have talked with someone who is wanting to sponsor you, WAIT!

You might be thinking wait, I am ready to get started and the sooner the better. That is a great attitude but just maybe this will spare you some challenges, or quite possibly help you avoid crashing and burning. Here is the second question, how committed is the person wanting to sponsor you to the business? The rest of that question or part B if you will is how committed to you are they? You need to determine their commitment level as well as yours. There are some really important things to consider before you sign up with him or her. You may say, but I have known this person for years, they are a personal friend, or a colleague from work. There is not anything wrong in signing up with a friend or a colleague but you need to determine this before you do. This is going to be critical to your success.
